Palm Beach State College Board Policy

Chapter 95-148, Florida Statues (1995) states:
"Any person who shall accept the privilege extended by the laws of this State of attendance or employment at any State college, State community college or State university shall, by so attending or working at such institutions, be deemed to have given his or her consent to the policies of that institution, the Board of Regents of the Division of Universities of the Department of Education, and the laws of this State. Such policies shall include prohibition against disruptive activities at state institutions of higher learning."
In accordance with the above, the District Board of Trustees adopts this rule:
1. Students or personnel who intentionally act to impair, interfere with, or obstruct the orderly conduct, processes, and functions of the College, either on or off campus, shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action by the College authorities.
2. Disruptive conduct shall include, but shall not be limited to the following:
- Violence against any member or guest of the College community;
- Deliberate interference with academic freedom and freedom of speech (including not only disruption of a class but also interference with the freedom of any speaker invited by any section of the College community to express his or her views);
- Theft or willful destruction of College property or of the property of members of the College;
- Forcible interference with the freedom of movement of any member of guest of the College;
- Obstruction of the normal processes and activities essential to the functions of the College community.
