The District Board of Trustees is committed to providing equal access to educational opportunities, programs, and services for students with disabilities through reasonable accommodations.

Students with disabilities, as defined by the American Disability Act of 1990, are eligible for a reasonable accommodation/substitution for any admission requirement to the College, program of study, or upper-division courses when documentation is provided that the person’s inability to meet the requirements is related to their disability. Eligible students include, but are not limited to, those with documented physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, or developmental impairments.

Students seeking accommodations must notify the College’s Center for Student Accessibility and provide appropriate documentation to support their request for accommodations, as outlined in the procedure to this policy.

Faculty and staff are required to provide the accommodations as outlined in the student’s accommodation plan. The information a student shares with faculty and staff about their disability is confidential and shall be treated as such.
