This policy shall establish and implement Florida Fire Prevention Code Administration for the Palm Beach State College Capital Improvement Program, annual required Facility maintenance and annual Fire Inspections as mandated by state statute. This administrative program shall apply to both new and existing construction.  Such regulated practice of state building and fire code compliance is necessary in the interest of public health and safety, to establish a reasonable level of fire, life safety and property protection from the hazards created by fire, explosion and dangerous conditions, which shall be provided through compliance of all adopted codes and standards.  The program shall provide Administration, Enforcement and Certification of all construction and maintenance administered by the District Fire Official, designated as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), through document reviews, construction inspections, and occupancy or compliance certifications.
