Important: Changes to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Microsoft is retiring phone call verification as an MFA method. If you currently use a phone call to verify your identity, you will need to switch to the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Starting August 31, 2026, you may see a prompt when signing in asking you to set up Microsoft Authenticator. When prompted, simply download the app to your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
To avoid any interruption to your access, we recommend setting up Microsoft Authenticator as soon as you receive the prompt.
Beginning November 1, 2026, anyone who has not yet switched to Microsoft Authenticator will be required to complete the setup before they can continue signing in.
Passkeys
Microsoft is moving toward passkeys as a more secure and convenient way to sign in. The College plans to introduce passkeys at a later date. For now, no action is needed.
